New Case Study published - Kent County Council Green Guardians Training courses

10th March 2017

GEP Environmental has been providing the much valued "Green Guardians" training course for Kent County Council.

We are delighted to announce the addition of a new case study to our website - Kent County Council and their Green Guardians training programme.

Based around the IEMA approved Environmental Awareness course, and tailored to be specific to Kent’s needs, this course has been delivered to some 300 Green Guardians across the Council. These volunteers form a network of champions of sustainability through the organization, and encourage their teams to be:

  • Energy Smart – switching off lights and electrical equipment to reduce wasted energy
  • Travel Smart – use public transport, car share or tele-videoconference to minimize car travel
  • Print Smart – print less to reduce wasted ink and paper

The Green Guardians are integral to Kent County Councils sustainability plans and with their help, they are well on their way to meeting their 2021 environmental targets.
