Business Energy Scotland, a programme managed by Energy Saving Trust, is encouraging and supporting SMEs to make positive changes to their organisations, adopting new technology that reduces dependence on fossil fuels, such as heat pumps. The service uses a mixture of specialist one to one support, offering free and impartial advice and support to any small business wishing to reduce energy usage, costs, and carbon emissions.
All SMEs willing to make positive changes to their premises and adopt new technology that reduces the dependency on fossil fuels are eligible.
The following services are available through the framework:
To meet the requirements of the service the framework delivers work at two tiers of consultancy support. Tier 1 support is to provide generic energy saving support to organisations across Scotland, for which the level of competency required will generally be lower than that required of the Tier 2 support. Tier 2 support is to provide specialist industrial technical support on one or more energy saving technologies and develop more detailed business cases.
This Framework covers Scotland.
This framework offers a wealth of information to small businesses - helping them improve energy efficiency and decarbonise heating within their buildings. In addition, financial support is available through Scottish Government’s SME loan and cashback scheme.
As trusted experts that have worked within the Scottish government and assisted SMEs around the UK to decarbonise, the GEP Environmental team is perfectly placed to assist your small business to achieve your Net Zero Carbon goals.
