Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) Abolished

3rd August 2016

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) were replaced last month by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). The success of the BEIS will be reviewed in the coming months and will largely be determined by the effectiveness of the strategy and actions taken on climate change and energy security.

UK Government publishes fifth carbon budget

Published on 29 June 2016, just a week after the UK voted to leave the European Union, the Fifth Carbon Budget provides reassurance to environmentalists and the energy industry that the UK is committed to tackling Climate Change and promoting a low carbon economy.
